Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Silver painted outside laced Borrani wires. Raced by Franco Rol in the Giro di Sicilia, crunched and repaired by Pinin Farina with the revised covered headlight nose it still has. Raced by Salvatore Ammendola in 1954. Restored by DK Engrg in 1995, Amelia class winner in 1999 and MM Retro in 1998. Engine just rebuilt with new liners, rings, rod bearings and clutch. Good cosmetics, shows some use. A particularly handsome Ferrari with ACCUS FIA documents for international events.

Market commentary

No struggle here. This 250 MM is both beautiful and eminently usable, a combination thats hard to beat, and the bidders at the Biltmore were on it like hummingbirds on fresh flowers. A great car for a fair price.
