Equipment
302/250hp Ford V8, 4-speed, chrome centerlock wire wheels, Michelin tires, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Auto Meter gauges, power windows, aftermarket stereo.
Condition
Single owner since 1978. Very good paint, chrome and interior. Slightly discolored but very presentable top. Very good, detailed engine bay. Beautiful, fast Italo-American hybrid that comes much cheaper than an Iso or a Bizzarrini, albeit not quite with the same level of sophistication or pedigree. Aside from the incorrect AutoMeter gauges, this is a very good but not outstanding car.
Market commentary
It's hard to get a handle on Italias. They are undoubtedly beautiful with lines that would look good (and cost ten times more) on a Ferrari or Maserati. Their Ford engines combine power, reliability and servicability. Yet they exist far out on a branch of the Italian hybrid tree that is embodied by the price this very good example brought.
