Market commentary
Rumored once to have traded privately for well over a million bucks, but this result seems reasonable for a car with no racing success. Former owner Dick Merritt described the car as so powerful it was frightening to drive, which puts both the driving talents of the Americans at Indy and the power of the then dominant Offy in perspective since these 375s werent fast enough to make the show. Subsequently reported by Merritt to have been bought in by Brooks. Consigned to Brooks 2001 Gstaad auction Marcel Massini says its now owner by Brooks financial backer Evert Louwman.
