Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Silver painted wire wheels, full windscreen, 3 oval fender vents, 3 small hood scoops. Sold new to Vasco Sameiro in Portugal, raced with some success, then to Mario Valentim of Brazil, also successfully raced. Found by Colin Crabbe in Brazil in the 60s, fitted with inside plug 250 engine from 1091, eventually to Yamazaki, restored by Middlebridge with 225 engine now to 3 liter specs, 4 speed gearbox, small fuel tank (original included). Frequently used since but in like new race ready condition.

Market commentary

The effect on value of the 250 spec 225 engine and other minor modifications is endlessly debatable. At least here it seems to have dampened the bidders enthusiasm although this result might also have an effect on the consignors future expectations.
