Equipment
RHD. Chrome spoke Borrani wire wheels, Condor radio. Restored to very high standards with excellent cosmetics. Clean, sharp, like new without being overdone. An exceptionally handsome car restored to high standards in 2001 and still exceptional in all respects. Marcel Massini, 9 18 2009: the Ferrari 212 Inter Vignale Coupe (also nicknamed Bumblebee) did NOT have its original engine. The engine which was in the car at the time of the sale was a standard 250 GT engine BUT RESTAMPED crudely by the English restorer in the early 2000s. The original engine 0197 EL belongs to Sir Anthony P. Bamford in the UK. The car was sold at Quail to Arturo Keller. He is now trying to buy the original engine 0197 EL from Bamford.
Market commentary
Stunning colors so typical of early Ferraris that are rarely seen in these days of red tan Ferraris make this a notable car for a very reasonable price. Uhhh, maybe less reasonable with a restamped engine from the wrong series of car.
