Equipment
RHD. Silver painted wire wheels, blackwall tires, 4 point belts. 1952 Mille Miglia entrant driven Dr. Augusto Carceni and Franco Meloni. Later 1952 Italian hillclimb champion. Upgraded to 225 specs in 1953. Later historic events include three MM Storicas, Monterey Historics and three Enstall Classics. Now powered by a 128B type 250GT engine (internal number 508). Last recorded restoration was in 1974, but its paint, chrome and upholstery are of more recent vintage and it is in excellent condition, very attractively detailed if not freshly restored.
Market commentary
This Ferrari will get its new owner pretty much anywhere he wants to appear with it, despite the later engine. The price is strong for the cars configuration and history, but a realistic accommodation between pristine and potent. Call it fair to both the buyer and the seller.
