Market commentary
Aside from the long ago engine swap this is an exceptionally pure example fresh from nearly four decades caring and informed ownership. It is impossible to argue with the bidders determination of this very healthy price. Its a lot of car, a lot of history, and for that, not a lot of money. The 166MM Lot 535 didnt sell and its just possible that both cars have headed off for an engine swap where each will become more desirable than it was before.
