Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Chrome wire wheels, heater. Touring body 3579. Gaudy paint job with an overabundance of metal. Good interior and chrome. Chassis is done to an attractive touring standard. Orderly but not impressive engine. Great eye appeal, and the color shows the Touring body to advantage.

Market commentary

This is an eyeball busting price for a 6C 2500, even a cabriolet, and especially for an example which is so clearly done to appeal to current tastes in colors and to touring standards of finish. The estimate is highly ambitious but turned out to be in line with the bidders willingness to keep their paddles waving. Another victory for the optimistic.
