Equipment
RHD, single Weber 32 DCF carburetor, five speed manual, 5 chrome wire wheels, wood steering wheel, various parts in the back seat. History says this is the first 195 Inter, displayed at Torino in 1951. Known history since and restoration started in 1974 but still incomplete three decades later when acquired by the seller in 2006. The bits are said to still be with the Ferrari although only experience will demonstrate the truth of that statement. Mechanically restored by KTR Engineering in Ayer, Massachusetts for some $57,000, but not in recent memory.
Market commentary
Brave, thats what the buyer of this Ferrari is. By the time its transported to a restoration shop, theyve assessed the problem and delivered their estimate the new owners going to be looking at a total investment of six hundred large ... optimistically. Its a handsome car, but even more handsome money.
