Equipment
VIN 60D7579. Trafficators, tribar headlights, Lucas foglights, badge bar with three Riley club badges, wide whitewalls.
Condition
Thick repaint, mostly good chrome. Paint cracked by both vent window posts. Excellent interior wood, good upholstery and top. Chassis and engine are unrestored and evenly coated with oil and road grime. Orange peel on lower doors and deck lid. Outside mirror bases pitted. An attractive and very presentable driver. Hydraulic front brakes just rebuilt.
Market commentary
Done by a professional Jaguar restorer for his wife and sold after she passed away to a Jaguar collecting couple who have continued to enjoy it. Not very impressively presented, but impressively appreciated by two previous long term owners and should be a very enjoyable and unusual car for tours and British car meets. This one is at least 100% better than the RMD that sold at Worldwides Weinberg sale a month ago for a little more than this.
