Equipment
Removable roll bar. Visibly filled and filed under dull aluminum paint. Driven by Phil Hill to win the first Pebble Beach road races (from last on the grid!) An honorable old race car, never apparently freshened and certainly never restored. Driven onto the block by Mr. Hill whose story of its acquisition (I was just a mechanic learning how to service Jags and Rolls Royces) adds great value.
Market commentary
This Jag is almost, but not quite, too historic to subject to historic raccngs viccssitudes. Its also the next owners entry to anything, anywhere, and a great explanation (Its too historic!) for leisurely driving. Even at $150K, a 40% premium over an ordinary alloy bodied XK120, its a bargain and great value for the money. Anything spent on restoration is a waste, and desecration of an historic artifact.
