Equipment
RHD. Silver painted outside laced wire wheels. Orignally delivered as a 166 to the Cerana brothers in Italy with three Weber 36DCF carbs, upgraded to 195 specs in 1951. Later sold to Edoardo Lualdi, then to Carlos Menditeguy in Argentina where it raced in various events. Brought to the States in 1979 and historic raced and hillclimbed there and in Europe since. Never restored but resprayed now and again. Apparently never crashed, either. Original except for the fire system, fuel cell and other modern safety requirements. Raced by Stephen Dudley as recently as this years Monaco GP Historique. Scruffy, frequently dented and bent but meticulously maintained by professionals for a quarter century to be just what it is: a real Ferrari GT racer that has been raced from day one. Ferrari Classiche certified. FIVA and FIA HTP paperwork.
Market commentary
There is no mistaking this car for anything but what it is, and anyone who changes it should be drawn and quartered after being tarred and feathered. Its history alone is worth the price paid for it here ... its wonderfully sympathetic, scruffy, used appearance is marvelous.
