Equipment
Fluid Drive, dual remote spotlights, wheel covers, wide whitewall, pushbutton radio, heater, fog lights, enclosed rear spare, three seats. An older cosmetic restoration with decent paint, interior, chrome and wood. Original wood has had some filler added before a good coat of varnish was applied that now has some flaws. It is unusual, which pretty much makes up for any shortcomings in its presentation.
Market commentary
This DeSoto was sold at Auburn Fall in 2003 for $43,990 with just five fewer miles on the odometer. Absolutely nothing appears to have been done to it since except to keep the dust off and service it enough to keep it running. That makes the result here pretty much of a rousing success for the seller. The buyer got an unusual car, reasonably well presented, but far from a bargain or even a good value.
