Wire wheels. Orange peel paint throughout and runs all over the place. Quickie repaint. But you have to keep it in race ready condition. A very original car with 1948 race history with Gianfranco Comotti including 4th at the French GP. Sent to Argentina, then acquired by Alain de Cadenet and eventually reunited with its original engine by Dr. Philippe Renault. An impressive and powerful 4 1 2 liter GP car in very pleasing and usable condition.
Market commentary
A no sale at Bonhams Quail Lodge auction in August 2003 at a reported bid of $550,000. A terrific, fast and hairy car perfect for the historic GP circuit purchased just in time to put in an entry for Mays Monaco GP Historique.
