Equipment
Wide whitewalls, enclosed rear spare, radio, clock, dual remote Appleton spotlights, bumper overriders. Some filler in largely original wood, varnish cracked in seams. Scuffed stainless trim. Good interior. Old chassis redo. Cracked wind wing seals. Runs well. Sound paint. A good driver, but no longer (if it ever was) a show quality restoration.
Market commentary
This price is NUTS. Its a Ford, folks, and as desirable and charismatic as an old Ford woodie might be, nearly a Hundred Large is bizarre money. Its not like theres a shortage of them (over 16,000 were built in 1947 alone.) Its not even a great, fresh restoration. Its just a driver. Although, compared with the stupidest muscle cars ever built (Hemi Cuda and Chevelle LS6 convertibles) its a bargain. Sorry, woodie fans, but once in a while its time to interject some balance and vent. A drivable and utilitarian woodie, in reality can it really be worth more than $50K
