Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Silver painted suspension. Left rear brake only (hydraulic). Single 2 barrel carb on stock Ford intake, Offenhauser aluminum heads, mild cam, Mallory distributor and coil ignition. Electric starter, clutch and 3 speed gearbox. Origilly built for Stan Fox, racetrack owner in Bloomington, India and grandfather of Indy driver Stan Fox, as a house car for visiting me drivers. Eventually lost it in a card game to the Snell brothers and driven occasiolly on the street by one of them until he lost his license for driving an unregistered vehicle. In sound, lightly raced condition with very presentable cosmetics. No Reserve.

Market commentary

An understanding DMV might give this Midget a set of plates if it had any lights which it could because theres a generator and a battery on board. Its a go anywhere kind of car and the buyers at the Dingman Collection sale recognized the possibilities by paying a very full price for it.
