Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

LHD. silver wire wheals, Fiat 1100 engine block, head and transmission (no crank, pistons, intake or exhaust). Drum brakes, alloy body. Appears, like the Cisitalia it emulates, to be Fiat 1100 based and the workmanship in the body is comparable with what would have come out of some Italian bodyshop in 1947. An unfinished project that needs a good home.

Market commentary

It sure didnt need THIS good a home. The basis for an intriguing project is all here but it is very basic and will need a vast amount of money spent on it before its ready to go, and then will be no more than a replica. The estimate was very modest, but that is not something that can be said of the price. With this much sunk in it, the temptation to pass it off as a Cisitalia will be hard to resist. Given the history and construction of the origils it also will be hard to disprove.
