Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Heater, P S added, 12 volt electrical system. Very tall 4 door wagon body with 3 seats by an unknown builder. Curtains in rear quarter and back window. Fold down tailgate. Very sharp restoration to slightly better than new condition with excellent paint, interior and chrome. Sharp, clean chassis not overdone. A very sharp Chevy that would make a better impression if its exterior wood werent so bright.

Market commentary

The Chevy Suburbans on this chassis were two cars, so whoever this Wagon was built for needed a taaaall roof (or like to wear top hats around the estate.) A very handsome old piece with a sympathetic restoration to better than like new condition without going overboard. Unfortunately the chassis number couldnt be found and the Connecticut DMV inspector refused to let it be sold.
