Equipment
1971/80hp, 4-speed, centerlock wheels, fender skirts, Vredestein tires, dual mirrors, banjo steering wheel, dash clock.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Represented as matching numbers and as one of 482 built. Good but older paint and chrome. Clean top with very mild wrinkling. A few blemishes on the wheels. A handsome, lightly used prewar open BMW.
Market commentary
Sold by Bonhams at Paris in 2019 for $241,224 (Euros 212,750 at the time, this result is Euros 189,000) and difficult to fault in any meaningful way despite the older restoration and some kilometers. It is classic BMW and will not disappoint its new owner whether on the road, at marque displays or when considering the price paid.
