Equipment
RHD. Blackwall tires, no radio or heater. Good paint and interior. Fair trim chrome. Otherwise a disappointing cosmetic redo. Supposedly discovered at a Czech castle after WWII then restored in Italy in 2006. That does nothing to detract from its distinctive Touring coachwork in a combination of pre and post war styles.
Market commentary
Offered by Bonhams at Monaco in 2009, with a generous $406 473,000 estimate. More reasonably estimated here, but no more satisfying in its presentation and deservedly dismissed by the bidders. It needs a dedicated collector to acquire it at something no more than the reported high bid who is willing and able to give it the real restoration it deserves. It is a dramatic Alfa.
