Equipment

Air ride TCI suspension, lowered until it scrapes, rack and pinion steering, AC, C4 transmission, beautifully equipped Zephyr flathead V12 with period speed equipment. A very nice full custom. Paint and interior are immaculate. Offered at No reserve.

Market commentary

A great price for a very nice custom rod. No doubt Saturday Prime Time positioning during the Speedchannel coverage helped. RM sold Scrape, a similarly artful Zephyr custom with late model drivetrain, at Monterey in 2000 for $275,000. Is this Zephyrs beautifully executed period engine and different paint worth $157,000 more Apparently the two bidders thought so, and whos to argue with them.
