Equipment
RHD. Sliding sunroof, Trippe driving light, Lucas King of the Road headlights. Fair old repaint, good origil interior under clear plastic custom seat covers. Poor, thick, deeply cracked varnish on the interior wood. A sound and very unusual old SS sedan that will be a hit at any Jaguar or British car meet.
Market commentary
Sold for $20,520 at Barrett Jackson in 2002, then offered at Kruse Auburn Fall in 2003 (no sale at $26,250) and 2004 (no sale at $23,500). It is usable as it is, and probably should be preserved in its present condition, but it is hard to see how the seller could expect much more than this for it, at least on sale in the U.S. This is a strong candidate for a trip back to the home country where its preservation and righthand steering should attract bundles of strong Sterling and make the sellers dreams come true.
