Equipment

Chrome wire wheels, dual sidemounts, lefthand drive. High quality older restoration for Arthur K. Watson, once CEO of IBM World Trade. Displayed at the Owls Head museum in Maine since 75 or so where it was carefully and consistently maintained and regularly exercised. The restoration shows its age but is still exceptiolly attractive.

Market commentary

Not as special as a Special Roadster, but pretty close and in all respects the epitome of Mercedes top of the line in the 30s. The price is consistent with the result realized by Poulain Sothebys in Moco last May, $787,538 for a much fresher restoration.
