Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. White steering wheel, aero screens, headlight and radiator stoneguards. Tired and beat up but all there and running well. Multiple Mt. Equinox hillclimb entrant, same family ownership since 1960 in the U.S. Dead paint, worn, aged, soiled interior, brilliant chrome. An old car that got used and looks like it.

Market commentary

Bonhams sold s n 18054 for almost $400,000 at Goodwood just a few months ago, but it was beautifully restored. Todays transaction is sufficiently less expensive to leave room for it to be brought to 18054s condition without exceeding its price, a result that is consistent with precedent, but a lot of money for a 2 1 2 liter SS 100.
