Equipment

The Phaeton is the rarest and most sought after Cord. Supercharged Lycoming V8, front wheel drive and Gordon Buehrigs landmark design all contribute to its desirability. An 8 month old concours restoration, this one is essentially perfect.

Market commentary

810 812 Cords span a wide range in values, from high teens or low twenties for a Beverly sedan to over $100K for a perfect Phaeton like this. The bid reported here seems like enough to buy even this exceptional example.
