Equipment
Fender skirts, barometric altimeter, chrome wire wheels, fog light, Bosch headlights, outside exhaust headpipes.
Condition
1993 AACA National First Prize winning restoration. Interior shows minimal use. Paint, chrome and top are excellent. Built for William A. Burden whose constantly evolving stable of automobiles had included Harry Millers 4-wheel-drive V16 from which RM sold the engine in LA in 2002. A special design, laid out by Burden, with teardrop fenders, rear wheel skirts, cowled radiator and no running boards. Its not to everyones taste (it didnt even turn out to be to Burden's taste but he never kept a car long enough for it to matter) but it is not going to be missed, either.
Market commentary
The buyer got more car than is reflected in the price paid, a one off Sindelfingen car with an intriguing ownership history and design that will stand out in a crowd as well as 540K performance. An astute acquisition.
