Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Aeroscreens, single sidemount. One of several Type 135 Specials originally owned by Laury and Lucy OReilly Schells Ecurie Bleue. Specific race history is unclear however it is unquestionable that it raced. Restored in Argentina by Rudolfo Iriate in the 60s and raced there for some 20 years. Restored in Europe in the mid 90s and carefully maintained in clean and very presentable historic race car condition.

Market commentary

This is a very important pre war competition Delahaye, a marque that is increasingly appreciated in recent years. It needs nothing to be enjoyed in the many events, tours and shows where its participation will be welcomed by both organizers and spectators. The new owner got full value for the money spent.
