Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Chrome wire wheels, single aeroscreen, teardrop cycle fenders, low mounted headlights. Originally bodied with a Delage designed coupe built by Figoni, later bought and raced by Louis Gerard, finishing fourth overall and first in class at Le Mans. Sold to Peter Aitken in 1938 then to Pat Garland after the war, then stored until the 80s when it was restored by Colin Crabbe with new fenders created by Rod Jolley. Engine rebuilt in 2003. Good cosmetics. Abba Kogan Collection.

Market commentary

Rare, historic, fast, powerful, great looking. Thats a combination that is hard to beat and it was hard to beat here except by the bidders who didnt rise to the occasion.
