Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Coachwork commissioned by Sadovich, Duesenbergs Paris dealer. More modern than most Duesenbergs, with skirted fenders, dual enclosed sidemounts, chrome wire wheels, Marchal lights and elaborate interior, nicely integrated extended sweep panel. Ex Rick Carroll. Freshly restored by Brian Joseph and in show ready condition.

Market commentary

Purchased by Jerry Moore at the Sothebys Rick Carroll estate auction in 1990 for $935,000 (w commission). An exceptional and unique automobile, unsold on the block at a reported bid of $750,000, this deal worked out subsequently at a price appropriate to recent reported Duesenberg sales.
