Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Vee windshield, dual enclosed sidemounts, steel wheels with wide whitewalls, waterfall radiator grille. An older concours restoration with excellent paint, interior and chrome. Updated body with later details (grille, trunk, fenders and left side wind wing) from a Duesenberg designed Judkins sedan at one time on supercharged J551 2577. Restored on this chassis by Homer Fitterling. Recent paint and mechanically freshened and in show quality condition. Rated OR 1

Market commentary

A no sale at $280,000 at RMs Amelia Island sale in March 03. A most attractive and unusual Duesenberg with unique waterfall grille and imposing bodywork that embodies the concept of substance. It would benefit from having the louvered hood sides replaced by the 1935 style chromed screens, however, to show off that big twin cam straight eight.
