Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

One of four built. Teardrop fenders, skirts, Blue wire wheels, wide whitewalls, radio, vee windshield, running boards. A beautiful automobile, meticulously restored in the early 90s by Richard Martin for General Lyon and equally beautifully maintained by Bob Lee in concours condition. Known history from new.

Market commentary

Rare, spectacularly beautiful and meticulously restored and presented, this is one of the most sought of all Classics. One of these will be available only once or twice in any collectors lifetime, so when the opportunity presents itself theres little choice but to pay whatever it takes to own it. In this case it is nine times more than the Fran Roxas built replica that Gooding & Co sold last August at Pebble Beach for $350,000.
