Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Scuderia Ferrari 45A. Generally accepted to be Nuvolaris 1935 German GP winner, arguably the finest drive in GP history. In good historic race ready condition fresh from historic events in the Antipodes. Mostly original except for replaced bodywork around the cockpit and grille which was battered beyond recovery.

Market commentary

Readers of tea leaves should have been applying their skills to the prices of antique Italian race cars at this point, arguably the absolute peak of the collector car market in the late 80s. Jon Shirley 2008 Monterey Historics
