Equipment
Lefthand drive. Wheel discs, jump seats, sliding divider, rear mounted spare. Quite extraordiry, with steeply raked vee windhsield, low razor edged room, elaborate faux cane work around the rear compartment, gold plated hardward, vanities and smokers kits at a cost of $31,000, an astounding amount for the time, for C. Matthew Dick, scion of the A.B. Dick office machines family, to give to his bride. Only three owners from new, carefully preserved and attractively persented in a good but aged restoration.
Market commentary
This is definitely one of the more unusual automobiles in Monterey this year not just in the auctions but anywhere in Monterey. It brought a strong but not unreasoble price for its quality, rarity and unique design which is much more attractive than the usual rather erect and stiff formal Town Car. This car has flair and style.
