Equipment
RHD. Ace discs, dual enclosed rear spares. One off coachwork that could define the Continental concept with its long hood, low roof, blind quarters and integrated luggage trunk. Sparkling history with Bentley Boy Jack Dunfee and others that reinforces the appeal of this elegant, sleek, Rolls Royce. Now has new aluminum cylinder head. Featured in AQ and The Phantom II Continental, as it deserves to be. Restored to like new condition some years ago and presented to very much the same standard with some age and paint issues evident. A fabulous automobile. Bernie Ecclestone Collection.
Market commentary
Reported sold by Christies at Pebble Beach in 1995 for $222,500 in essentially the same condition, but 12 years more fresh. To keep up with inflation in the intervening years it should have, more or less, doubled twice and ... it has. A stunning car that illustrates why R R bought Bentley and the 8 litre. I have no trouble at all with this price for this sleek, aggressive, masculine Rolls Royce.
