Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Liberally chromed including the wire wheels, outside exhaust, supercharger cover, rear fender stone guards and even the brake drums. Pre selector gearbox, fishtail exhaust, folding windshield, dual aero screens, headlight stoneguards, slab tank. Excellent cosmetics. Built by Peter Gregory in the UK, reportedly with many original MG K3 components including the Marshall blower. A very handsome and enjoyable replica. No Reserve.

Market commentary

This is, to all intents and purposes, double the price of the next highest MG K3 Replica sold at auction, that being K0322 sold by Bonhams at Goodwood in 2005 for $82,907 (UK Pounds 45,500). $100,000 would have been a decent value, and $120,000 not unreasonable, for this car but the price actually paid strains credulity.
