Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Black wire wheels, cycle front fenders. Previously owned by John Shute, designer of the Mazda Miata. Decent paint, interior shows a little wear. Shows use, but very presentable and usable.

Market commentary

A well used, but well looked after J2, acceptable (even appreciated) at any vintage event. Its not going to be very comforting on an LA freeway, thrashing along flexing its 2 bearing crank to extract all 36hp, but it is the Mother of all classic MGs and is worth slightly more than the reported high bid.
