Excellent cosmetics; a show quality restoration without being overdone. 96 M B class winner at Pebble Beach. Built for Prinz Max zu Schaumburg Lippe, class winner in 1934 Deutschland Fahrt, with factory 90 144hp 4,019cc M221 engine. Highly original and very sensitively restored to a very high standard.

Market commentary

Reported sold at Dennis Nicotras NY Auto Salon auction September 99 for $962,500. No matter what, this is an exceptional car with a real racing history, special M B engine and authenticated by several authorities including Prinz Maxs widow, Princess Helga Lee. This is a great value compared with an SSK, 500K or 540K of similar specification and history.
