Equipment
Single seater raced by Campari to 3rd overall in the 1933 Coppa Ciano and by Lurani in the Stelvio hillclimb. No important history after it passed into the hands of Ippolito Berrone. Eventually donated to the museum at Monza in original condition and later displayed at Beaulieu. Acquired by the seller in 1983 and restored by DK Engineering in 1984. Now appears in nearly like new condition with good cosmetics, infrequently used, last at the 2000 Monterey Historics. Supercharged 1,970cc 4 cylinder rated 165hp at 5,500rpm, the only engine of this size built by Maserati.
Market commentary
A very charismatic and sympathetically maintained Maserati that is very well bought at this price. Its a ticket to just about any event its new owner wants to attend.
