Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Typical disappearing top Murphy roadster with dual chrome wrapped sidemounts, Pilot Rays, two cowl mounted spotlights, outside exhausts, chrome wire wheels. Older concours restoration and CCCA winner, still very nice. One of the three cars whose engines were used by Pratt & Whitney to power supercharger test beds in WWII; this cars original engine blew up in the process.

Market commentary

One of the stars of Duesenberg design, bought appropriately here in a strong showing of the continuing appeal of quality, beautiful, classic cars.
