Equipment
RHD. Folding windshield, wind wings, red painted wire wheels, hood strap, gorgeous Jaeger chronometric tach on the steering column. Original Zagato body with continuous fenders, waterfall grille and wider passenger compartment. Known history from new including Ralph Stein and David Tunick. Never restored and exceptionally choice despite its cracked, chipped paint. More recent and sound but nicely patinaed leather. Recently mechanically rebuilt by Jim Stokes, a Pebble Beach Preservation Class award winner. Wonderful and usable as is, a car that neither needs nor should have anything done to it.
Market commentary
So many Zagato Spider bodied 6C 1750s have stories or gaps in their history, the appearance of one that has neither is occasion for collectors who appreciate quality to reach deep in their pockets for the wherewithal to take advantage of its availability. That is the case here and the price is no more than reasonable for both the buyer and the seller.
