Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome wire wheels, dual sidemounts, wide whitewalls, Marchal headlights, luggage trunk, side entry rumble seat. Concours restoration. Excellent paint, brilliant chrome, great interior and top with only a little seat creasing from use. Chassis paint has some sags and dirt inclusions. Owned by Jacob Lang in Buffalo from new until 1959, restored shortly thereafter, then re restored in 1980. Judged 100 points by CCCA in 1982, Pebble Beach Lucius Beebe winner in 1980. Continuously maintained in showcar condition since and continued to take home trophies.

Market commentary

It is nearly impossible to accept that this Rolls Royce was restored 27 years ago, but that is the sign of a quality restoration and assiduous continuing care and attention. It is an expensive PI, but may very well be the best one in the world.
