Equipment

Pilot Rays, disc wheels, dual rear spares, radiator stone guard, Brown cloth windshield visor. 1991 Meadow Brook & 1995 Eyes on Design award winner. Aged but sound. Dated colors. Restoring standards have passed this Packard by but is still an elegant car that has been little used. One of only two built on the 840 chassis, both survive. No Reserve.

Market commentary

Offered at Barrett Jackson back in 1995 when the restoration was fresh but the bid was only $23,000, then reported sold earlier this year by RM at Ft. Lauderdale for $302,400. It has benefited from some very thoughtful updating since then and looks much better with its disc wheels painted body color instead of the garish chrome of its earlier presentation. The engine also benefits from having some of its excess chrome hidden under fresh paint.
