Condition
#1 Concours
World-class. Could compete in the world’s best Concours d'Elegance events.
A show car in the early 1990s, including at Pebble Beach. Good older paint for the most part, with some imperfections on the red pin striping. Solid chrome and the woodwork is phenomenal, in condition but especially in its craftsmanship. Upholstery looks great. This is a spectacular automobile.
Market commentary
Despite being restored in 1991 this Isotta-Fraschini is still in outstanding condition and has been carefully preserved and consistently honored throughout its life. The details on this Castagna/Isotta creation are endless and fascinating. It was reported sold at RM’s Monterey auction in 2022 for $368,000, but then why is it still in this collection in 2023? A superbly engineered, eloquently designed automobile that emanates quality and sophistication far beyond this price.
