Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Dual enclosed sidemounts, chrome wire wheels, wide whitewalls, Dark Red leather luggage trunk, rollup rear windshield, outside exhaust headpipes, mesh hood sides. 1981 AACA National First Prize, failing old paint, sound interior and chrome. Rust blisters on left hood side, cracks on doors and rear cowl. Tired and aged but inherently sound and in need only of care and cosmetics. Built by someone named Billings in Massachusetts, one of a series of six or ten, with correct Duesenberg drivelines and authentic spec frames and suspensions. Used by Bill Ruger for many tours.

Market commentary

This is an ample price for a Duesenberg built up around an engine, particularly one thats been toured and driven plenty of miles. Its not unreasonable, but it is all the money.
