Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Dual enclosed sidemounts, chrome wire wheels, red leather covered luggage trunk, dual taillights, rollup rear windshield, thermostatic vertical radiator shutters, outside exhaust headers. A sound but aged reproduction based upon original J engine, transmission, brakes, and axles. Repro frame, Body by Billings in the Derham Tourster style. Some paint accent crazing and edge chips but usable as is. Built in the 70s, AACA National First Prize winner.

Market commentary

Better than a Duesenberg II, but there is unlikely to have been money in the Shotwell Gustafson Pavillion at the reported high bid or RM would have found a way to make the deal work.
