Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Built by B&S when Dr. Mudd couldnt get a Weyman body to replace original Derham sedan. Pilot Rays, sunroof, eight port cast external exhaust manifold. Not a factory SJ; Mudd obtained the blower from the factory. Freshly restored to concours winning condition with AACA and CCCA First Prize awards to prove it. Rick Carroll Collection.

Market commentary

One of the most extraordinary of all Duesenbergs, a stunning automobile with an equally stunning restoration and the crowning piece in this important collection and sale. There is no other like it, or even close.
