Equipment

Chrome wire wheels, Pilot Rays, dual sidemounts, luggage trunk and rack. Rebodied by Keith Brown for Homer Fitterling from the original Holbrook to this imposing Rollston convertible victoria from J428 2525; firewall from 2463. Ed Weaver was the next owner, and it was purchased from his estate auction by Dr. Joseph A. Murphy in 1995. Excellent recent repaint; the rest of Browns restoration is still show quality.

Market commentary

If Bob Pass gave frequent hauler miles this Duesie would be due for a free ride by now, an RM Auctions regular. Reported sold in Arizona in 2001 for $478,500, later a no sale at Amelia 03 and in Boca Raton this February. This is the price the owner has been holding out for, a real and attractive Duesenberg Model J even though its bits are a bit mixed up.
