Origilly one of two 8 Liter Bentleys bought by the Lord Brougham and Vaux, still with its origil body, chassis and drivetrain. US restored in the late 80s and still in excellent overall condition showing limited evidence of use, including lightly stretched seat cushions. Excellent paint, interior, wood and chrome.
Market commentary
Faced with automobiles like this it is no surprise why Rolls Royce pulled strings to acquire and co opt Bentley. It is a magnificent automobile: fast, luxurious and distinctive. But in todays market it takes more than luxury to bring a half million bucks and this 8 Liters formal Sedanca deVille bodywork so expensive when it was new and so fastidiously restored is not in favor among todays free spending collectors. +200K ($350K) is not unreasoble money, although the experience of blowing down the Route tiol from Paris to Nice at 100mph in this equivalent of a private railway coach would be hard to duplicate at any price.
