Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Grebel head and spot lights, polished wheel discs, dual rear spares, full weather equipment, later overdrive. Excellent older cosmetics with some minor hood chips. Chassis shows a little age and maybe a little less attention to appearance than to function, but thats not a knock. 1997 Pebble Beach Lucius Beebe Award, CCCA Senior, completed 1,500 mile 2005 Pebble Beach Motoring Classic. A choice piece with exceptiol coachwork built for Sir Julien Cahn.

Market commentary

In 1987 Christies offered 23GN, with engine AH35, with Hooper drophead coupe coachwork at Royal Albert Hall where it sold for $101,552. In 1992 this car, freshly restored, was offered at The Auction in Las Vegas where it failed to sell at a reported bid of $190,000. Will the real 23GN please stand up
