Market commentary
Easily one of the finest body designs on the J chassis, inclusion of the original closed Willoughby body only adds to the attractiveness of this Duesenberg as a very adaptable and usable classic of the highest quality. The buyer paid for quality and got beauty and presence in the deal. This Duesenberg showed up again among the Hershey Auction consignments a month later where it was reported sold for $698,500. The seller position has more than the usual flexibility with commissions in both transactions.
